Bed and Breakfast near Køge Welcome you to our country home in the southern area of the main Danish Island of Zealand, within easy reach of Copenhagen, 7 km south of the medieval town of Køge. Situated in the village of Søllerup, the house is half timbered with a thatched roof set in a large garden with an orchard, vegetable garden, newly started vineyard and a meadow bordering on the forest, part of the Vallø Castle estate.
We
have three double bedrooms on the first floor one of which has a sitting room with extra beds for a family and one
double bedroom downstairs. There are two bathrooms downstairs.
Breakfast with fresh fruit, juice, bacon and eggs, cereal and homemade bread and jam served with coffee or tea is included in the room price which is starting from DKK 500 for a double room.
Business persons are equally welcome to enjoy a home from home instead of the impersonality of a hotel, maybe even to discover just what country they are visiting. We have a fully equipped office at your disposal and can even provide secretarial help should it be necessary
Søllerup is centrally placed for daytrips to several locations in Denmark that are a must for our foreign visitors. The medieval town of Køge, the cathedral in Roskilde, the Viking Ship Museum and The Stoneage Center at Lejre. Or one can drive south to see the white cliffs of Møn, and Stevns to look for fossils on the seashore or to the Park at Knuthenborg to see the wild animals. Or leave your car in Køge and take the commuter train to Copenhagen to go to Tivoli and other sites in town such as our favourite, Rosenborg Castle, a real gem if one is interested in glass and porcelain. There are many beautiful spots all over Zealand and we would take great pleasure in helping you to plan your holiday so you get the most out of your days. We are also very near a golf course but should you just want to laze around then there is plenty of room for that too.
